As a newbie crew member, your day kicks off by stepping into Heroes and Legends, where you’ll be greeted by a real-life NASA astronaut who’s seen it all. They’ll give you the lowdown on what it takes to be an astronaut and introduce you to the fearless space pioneers from back in the day. After that, you’ll hop on a private bus with your astronaut buddy and go on a tour to follow their journey from Earth to space.
Meet with your tour group at the entrance of Heroes and Legends at 9:15 in the morning for a quick pre-flight chat before our awesome adventure starts. (You’ll get cool badges and special listening gadgets, by the way.)
Once you’ve seen what’s happening behind NASA’s doors, it’s back to the visitor area for a fancy lunch with your astronaut pal. They’ll share their wild stories and take your questions. Plus, you’ll get a cool pin as a keepsake before we move on to the next part of our adventure.
Next up, we’re checking out Space Shuttle Atlantis® for a guided tour and some exclusive shows about space flight. Then, brace yourself for a wild ride on the Shuttle Launch Experience® – you’ll feel what it’s like to zoom into space at a crazy 17,500 mph, and your trusty NASA astronaut will be right there with you!
