Every April, the magic of independent cinema takes center stage right here in Central Florida — and the 2026 Florida Film Festival is shaping up to be one for the books. Now celebrating its 35th year, this Oscar®-qualifying event brings together 160+ films, 24 world premieres, and stories from 31 countries, all under the Florida sky.
What's Happening
From April 10–19, 2026, film lovers of all kinds are invited to experience the best in current, independent, and international cinema at the iconic Enzian Theater in Maitland. Whether you're a seasoned cinephile or just looking for a great night out, there's something on the lineup for everyone.
Can't wait for opening night? Kick off the festivities early with two free community events:
- April 1 – Free Wednesday Night Pitcher Show: Only You at the Enzian Lawn (8PM) — a special tribute screening in honor of festival guest Marisa Tomei
- April 9 – Free Popcorn Flick in the Park: Hook at Central Park on Park Avenue (8PM) — a nostalgic 35th anniversary celebration of Spielberg's beloved classic
Then, on April 10, the official festival opens with the legendary Opening Night Party at the Winter Park Events Center — a glamorous evening to kick off 10 days of film, conversation, and unforgettable moments.
