Skip the Crowds on Memorial Day

One of the busiest times in Orlando during the first semester of the year is the weekend of Memorial Day. A Monday holiday allows many people to travel for a long weekend without having to miss work or school. So if you are traveling to Orlando to spend this wonderful holiday with us, we would like to suggest a few tips on how o better navigate or avoid the crowds.

Theme Parks: If you are coming do Orlando, there’s a big chance you’re hitting up the theme parks so you must come prepared. If you are visiting Disney, be sure to order your tickets in advance and set up your FastPasses as soon as possible. If you are not familiar with the FastPass system, you can read more about it here. If you are going to Universal Orlando we suggest that you arrive early to get some rides in before the park gets too crowded. You can also purchase a Express Pass to skip the lines, but they can get pretty pricey for a whole family as they’re not free like they are at Disney World.

Shopping: The major outlets will be absolutely packed and that will mean no parking spots will be easily found. We highly suggest that you take a cab or an Uber to the outlets and maybe even get them to drop you off a half a block before the entrance so you are not stuck in the traffic getting in. If you drive, you will get your money’s worth doing Valet because it can seriously take a LONG time to find a spot. People often end up parking on the grass or curb and we don’t suggest doing that because you can get a ticket or even get your car towed. Other activity: If you just have plans to hang out by our amazing Pirate Pool and visit a restaurant or other attraction. We would suggest that you use your smartphone to plan the route you will take before driving somewhere. Check what traffic is like and try to avoid the major roads like I-4 as they often get backed up with traffic.

Now, if you want to release the tension from the long days in the parks or completely skip the crowds by staying put, make sure to stop at our Reflections Spa to get the relaxing time you deserve while on vacation.
