Kick Off Your Summer 2019 in Orlando!
We are less than one month away from summer and couldn’t be more excited for the hottest time of the year in Orlando! Orlando really is a ton of fun no matter what time of the year you to choose to visit, but summer is definitely extra special as there are so many things to do in Orlando! The kids are off from school, the sun is shining brighter and all of the fun summer events are right around the corner! If you are planning a vacation to stay with us at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa, here’s everything you need to know about how to best enjoy your summer vacation in Orlando:
Pool time: We have an amazing resort-style pool at the Lake Buena Vista Resort that you must reserve some time to enjoy during your busy park days in Orlando! Walking around the parks is beyond fun, but it is still a lot of walking so make sure to take some time to relax and enjoy a calm and fun day by the pool. We are located right by the Factory Outlet Store, so you can always set aside a whole day for a pool adventure at out Pirate Plunge’s Pool and an exciting shopping spree filled with amazing discounts!
Parks: You’ll get to explore not only the regular theme parks but also all of the water parks that are all always open during the summer time! Some water parks close due to weather or for maintenance during the winter, so that’s something you definitely don’t have to worry about if you are visiting during the summer! There are many water parks to choose from, so make sure to do your research to decide which ones you like to visit. Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are Disney’s water parks, Aquatica is SeaWorld’s and Volcano Bay is Universal’s! They are all amazing and we would suggest visiting at least a couple of these during your summer trip!
Events: There are many unique events in Orlando during the summer that you just can’t miss! The H2O Glow happens at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park for 25 select nights from May 30th to August 24th this year. You get to see the park in a whole new light at night when a whole glow-in-the-dark, DJ-hosted dance party breaks out on the sandy beaches of the Surf Pool!
The Electric Ocean is a similar party that happens at SeaWorld from May 24th through September 1st and it its absolutely incredible! Guests get to explore exotic worlds of light and music filled with glowing sea creatures, a spectacular display of fireworks and electrifying DJ entertainment.
Spa: Booking a spa treatment to recoup from all the summer fun should be a priority to ensure you’ll leave your vacation feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world again! Visit our Reflections Spa & Salon that is located on the 6th floor of the check-in building to learn about their summer specials and book your favorite treatment without breaking the bank! They a full-service spa that offers massages, facials, mani/pedi, hair services and more!
