2019 New Attractions You Can’t Miss in Orlando

The New Year is here and we want to make sure you don’t forget to add “Travel to Orlando” to your 2019 resolutions! If you have visited Orlando in the past couple of years you may be thinking that you have already seen everything there is to be seen and, therefore, be inclined to choose a different destination for your 2019 vacation! However, Orlando is one of those cities that no matter how many times you visit, you will certainly find different places to explore and different adventures to embark on!
Orlando saw many amazing attractions come to life in 2018 and there are plenty more expected to debut in 2019. In 2018 we had Ray Rush open at Aquatica, the Fast and Furious ride open at Universal Studios, the delicious Voodoo Doughnut open at CityWalk, and the incredible Toy Story Land open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All of that alone would be enough reason to come back to Orlando in 2019, but there’s more! Here are some of the attraction expected to debut in 2019:
- Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: This is undoubtedly the most exciting one for all Star Wars fans! Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be the host of this newland where two new rides are expected to come to life at the end of 2019.
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy: This new show will be a hit with the kids, as it is inspired by the Cars movies that are so beloved by kiddos everywhere! Lightning McQueen will be the big star of the show, so get ready for some fast fun!
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway: Disney’s Hollywood Studios is really on fire in 2019! This new attraction will also be located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We are so excited for this one, as this is the first ride ever to feature The Mouse as the main star! This will be the perfect family attraction and will also include an original theme song that is being written specifically for the ride.
- Harry Potter Themed Roller Coaster: This one is located at Universal Orlando, more specifically at Islands of Adventure! We have all been expecting an announcement of what ride would take the place of the former Dragon Challenge (former Dueling Dragons) and the answer is finally here! Universal promises a brand new roller coaster where you’ll get to meet some of the Wizarding World’s magical creatures and visit new and mysterious places. They have promised us that this ride will be their most highly themed roller coaster to date, so we cannot wait to see it for ourselves!
Plus, when you visit us at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa, you will get to enjoy plenty of fun at the Pirate’s Plunge pool, grab a drink poolside at Lani’s Luau Poolside Bar & Grille and relax at the Reflections Spa & Salon.
