Stay In for Valentine’s Day

It’s time to celebrate and spoil our loved ones!  Valentine’s Day is the one day a year that we reserve to be extra romantic and buy our loved ones fresh flowers, meaningful cards and a delicious meal! But we also know that sometimes the nice gesture can turn out to be a huge hassle. Restaurants are packed, lines are very long and service is often slow since all places are running at capacity.

That is why this year we have a different suggestion for you. If you are staying with us at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa, we suggest that you forgo the craze and stay in and enjoy this holiday by doing the following:

Have a hearty breakfast: Stop at the grocery store a couple of days prior to the big day and buy your favorite breakfast items! Eggs, bacon, hash browns, chocolate chip pancakes… you choose your family’s favorite! We understand that most people don’t want to cook on this special day, but breakfast is usually an easy and fun meal to make. Kids love pancakes and they really can’t tell the difference if you buy the pancake mix that only requires you to add the water. This will save you tons of time waiting in line at a breakfast place and it will also be much cheaper! Put some music on and enjoy some quality time with your family making heart-shaped pancakes! It’s all about making memories.

Have fun: If you have plans to go to the theme parks, then go for it. Just make sure you set up your Disney Fastpasses+ in advance to take advantage of the shorter lines for at least three attractions. We suggest choosing a park that you have previously visited or that closes earlier, so you can enjoy a relaxing evening without the park crowds. Not going to the parks? Spend a day by our amazing Pirate’s Plunge Pool.

Get pampered: Book a spa treatment at our Reflections Spa and Salon and enjoy an evening of relaxation and family fun! Our spa is located in the same building as the lobby, so you won’t even have to drive anywhere else to get there. There are services for all ages, so bring the kids with you for a Princess Makeover or Pirate Takeover. Have a massage, a mani/pedi or a killer hair blowout to get you ready for the next day of adventures. Just make sure you make reservations before visiting the spa, so we can ensure we can accommodate you and your family!

Order food: The whole “stay relaxed” vibe would likely be spoiled if you decided to go out for dinner at a crowded restaurant, so we suggest ordering in. Make it a pizza night ordering food from our Pizza Hut Express or from our Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub and Grille. Craving something specific? Download the Uber Eats app and order whatever suits you from their menu options! If you have a fireworks view room, search the web for what time the Epcot fireworks start and enjoy your dinner from balcony!
