New Gondola System at Disney! Is it real?

Imagine a world where you would be transported by gondolas from one magical world to another. Well, that is exactly the kind of experience that Disney plans to provide guests with in the near future.

This has been a rumor for a while now. But we, at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa, have refrained from sharing it with you until we could confirm that Disney is actually considering this project. Every time we write a blog post, we make sure to fact check our information to ensure we are only sharing trustworthy information. And now that a major newspaper in Orlando, the Orlando Sentinel, decided to share the news… we figure we could too!

So get excited, because you may soon be able to take a gondola ride as a method of transportation to go from theme park to theme park inside the Walt Disney World Resort’s complex.

The documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel state that the new gondola lift system should include six stations with three different lines and each gondola car should fit up to 10 passengers.

We must point out that Disney has yet to officially confirm that the gondola system is in the works. But the documents obtained by the Sentinel were public permits, so the rumors definitely became much more real than before!

Gondola systems are known for being very durable and reliable and with the kind of technology available to us today, they are also extremely safe. This would definitely be a fun ride as you would be going over the Disney parks and able to experience an amazing panoramic view of all rides, lands and perhaps even fireworks? I guess we’ll have to wait to see.
